The danger of artificial intelligence isn’t that it’s going to rebel against us, but that it’s going to do exactly what we ask it to do, says AI researcher Janelle Shane. Sharing the weird, sometimes alarming antics of AI algorithms as they try to solve human problems — like creating new ice cream flavors or recognizing cars on the road — Shane shows why AI doesn’t yet measure up to real brains.
The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). You know what's scary? What if AIs learn to lie? You will never know if the AI pretends to be stupid so it can do whatever it wants.

She says that AI has a "brain" similar to worms, but this weirdly reminds me of a 4 year old child.

She claims that the AI isn't intelligent but she's not intelligent enough to communicate with it.

Ai saw women as a disruption in the work place. It took all social media information and determined that the most efficient worker on average is male…again this is not the data we wanted to see. But it doesn't mean that it is not empirically correct… Ai has no moral compass and in Spock like thinking determined this

Best way to make a great AI is to give it human emotion and a a sense of moral conciousness.

That or you can upload a humans brain. Sounds stupid and mad, but it is perfection if you don't want the AI to go on a rogue killing spree, because it's programed to "protect" humanity.

Roko’s Basilisk is a thought experiment based upon the concept of a super intelligent A.I, wreaking time travel vengeance upon all those who did not contribute to its’ creation. Which implies that by even knowing about this, you then become a potential target and thus a victim of that A.I.’s future wrath.

If cleverly designed AI lacks real understanding of the goals it is given, and is prone to bizarre failures, then: why do we believe our brains, supposedly randomly evolved, actually understand the world as it is, rather than simply producing the minimum results required to survive?
